Friends of the San Juans knew it was time to create something more visually compelling for their shoreline owners manual, but were also looking for guidance in streamlining the process of collecting, organizing, and presenting information in this publication. We created an updated look and feel for their organization through the design of this booklet. The branded look we created was applied to additional materials including their annual newsletters and display signage. The logo was also updated to reflect these changes in type and color and to be easier for them to use.

The San Juan Islands are full of incredible landscapes and ocean views. Photographs of the area Friends works to protect are featured heavily in their branded materials. We devloped a brand that was simple in order to highlight the natural photos.

donor support

Friends of the San Juans relies largely on community support to do the work they do. Support in the form of involvement in their programs, events, and workgroups, and financial support. Print materials play a large role in fostering this participation. Multiple pieces are mailed to donors and community members each year, so our goal is to keep the message consistent while making the visuals fresh and inviting to open.
