We love our new Good Food Project branding in Bellingham Public Schools. Eric and Becca listened carefully to our vision and designed a beautiful, vibrant logo and assets that allow us to move our food services program forward. Shew Design recently completed design concepts to help with messaging to preserve eelgrass within our local State Park. Their team was fabulous to work with. Shew Design is a key partner and contributor in our campaigns.  They care about their clients and take care of their needs from soup to nuts.

The Shews were a critical asset to the City of Bellingham’s Medicine Return Program outreach campaign. They had a vision that expanded our project beyond our expectations by promoting partnerships between ourselves and several local health care organizations. Bringing together multiple stakeholders, we developed messaging and materials that met everyone’s needs and reached a much larger audience than we would have otherwise.

We have completed several projects with Shew Design over the years involving marketing messages and delivery of tools and products on topics like stormwater education, eel grass protection, and public transportation. In all cases, the combination of Shew’s thoughtful approaches to reaching people, crafting the message, and providing the supporting graphics has contributed to the overall success of those efforts. I particularly appreciate the way input we gather from engagement with communities is adapted concisely and artfully to maximize the impact of our outreach and engagement efforts and products.

I really enjoy working with Becca and Eric. I appreciate how open-minded they have been with our project. We were looking for a versatile campaign that would differentiate Bellingham and Whatcom County as a destination for visitors, while keeping local members and funding partners wowed and happy. I’m so proud to say they succeeded. They are creative professionals with an incredible aesthetic eye, yet they can be sticklers (in a good way) when it comes to details and using space appropriately. Both Becca and Eric are very accessible and responsive when it comes to questions (no matter how random), problems and/or requests. I’m looking forward to working with them on future projects. And watch out if Eric challenges you to a ping pong match.

Not only did they walk me through the creative process with ease from start to finish, but when I ran into hiccups internally with my company leadership, who loved the concept of a new website but were unprepared to commit to design and language choices, they demonstrated peak professionalism and value. They walked that perfect line of checking in without pressuring, offering solutions proactively, being real yet not getting frustrated with me. And icing on the cake? Company leadership loves our new website.

Working with Shew Design was a wonderful experience all around. Their approach was at once artistic and intellectual, their focus was about solving problems for our organization and communicating our identity in a visual way. The result was a fantastic new logo that communicated a complicated collaborative of organizations, and promotional materials that are just plain beautiful. And, the process was fun!

It has been absolutely wonderful working with Shew Design on our current “Whatcom Together” project and the “Safer. Stronger. Together.” campaign. Shew Design has been able to navigate the multiple stakeholders involved in this project with ease while also guiding us on the design as we managed the project. This project has involved many groups who all had their various ‘visions’ as well as needs and expectations. At times the process has been highly complex and Shew Design always worked with confidence and ease. I don’t feel that we could have been as successful without them.

When working with Shew Design, I’m reminded of the Calvin and Hobbs “bats are bugs” report. A crisp presentation was meant to overcome the report shortcomings. Shew Design consistently produces crisp graphics, concise text and stunning reports. I’m not sure they would put their name on a “bats are bugs” report, but if they did, someone might just believe it because their work is outstanding.

Shew Design was instrumental in helping to imagine and conceive printed and web-based technology training materials for City of Bellingham employees. The website icons, banner and other materials created a classy and recognizable look for a significant city-wide training effort, and provided resources to use again and again into the future. My meetings with Shew Design left me motivated and supported, and the project was a great success.

We have worked with Shew Design for years and love their work! Becca and Eric are a dream team. They bring years of knowledge, expertise, and unique perspectives that consistently produce top-notch designs.

How do you market an event when you can’t use the name in the title? That’s what the Pickford Film Center had to work out when we learned we couldn’t use the word “Oscars” to describe the black tie party where we live stream the Academy Awards. Shew Design wasted no time in developing a clever, creative, yet unmistakably Oscars poster while staying within the restrictions of the Academy. Everyone got it and loved it. The Shews nailed it.

We’ve been very happy with the work Shew Design has created for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other people looking for marketing or graphic design work.
