client: Harder Foundation

protecting biodiversity and ecosystem health in the Pacific Northwest & Northern Rockies

We developed a website for the Harder Foundation, a conservation-focused organization dedicated to protecting biodiversity and wild places. The site showcases their grant priorities—from protecting salmon habitat on the Washington Coast to connecting Grizzly Bear populations in the Northern Rockies—and highlights the impact of their funded projects. We created a custom database system that dynamically links grantees and projects to relevant grant priorities, ensuring related information automatically populates on the appropriate pages. This intelligent architecture allows the Harder Foundation team to easily update content without manually formatting pages or managing complex relationships, streamlining their workflow as they steward their conservation mission.

Not only did they walk me through the creative process with ease from start to finish, but when I ran into hiccups internally with my company leadership, who loved the concept of a new website but were unprepared to commit to design and language choices, they demonstrated peak professionalism and value. They walked that perfect line of checking in without pressuring, offering solutions proactively, being real yet not getting frustrated with me. And icing on the cake? Company leadership loves our new website.
